Mayr-Melnhof Holz, one of Europe’s leading sawn timber producers and timber-processing companies, a major producer of glued laminated timber, and a driving force in the advance of cross-laminated timber, is inviting you to a special study tour of the recently inaugurated high-tech CLT plant in Leoben, Styria.
With an investment of 175 million, you will visit one of the most modern cross-laminated timber factories worldwide, an upstream re-sorting and planning plant and a fully automated high-bay warehouse for sawn timber, and get a remarkable tour with experts. Mayr-Melnhof Holz has ambitious goals for the use of wood as a sustainable building material and has done pioneering work at its Leoben site: The cross-laminated timber plant has become the world's first industrial building complex of this size to be awarded a PEFC project certificate.

DAY 2 - 12.10.2023
The 12th of October will be the MAIN CONFERENCE DAY, taking place in Hilton Vienna Park.
Conference language: ENGLISH (no translation).
The PARTNER PROGRAM can be booked for your accompanying person(s), as a social program during the conference. For your accompanying persons the Networking Dinner is included in the Partner Program.
City Tour with Schönbrunn
12.10.2023 from 10:00 at Hilton Vienna Park, duration approx. 6-7h
Starting with a drive along the famous Ringstrasse, where we discover the State Opera, the Museum of Fine Arts, the Museum of Natural History, the Imperial Palace, the Parliament, the City Hall, the National Theatre, the University of Vienna and the Votiv Church (The monuments will be seen just from the outside, no indoor visit). Our tour will then lead us to Schönbrunn Palace. The highlight of this excursion is a guided tour through the magnificent stately rooms of Schönbrunn Palace, the former summer residence of the Habsburg family. After Schönbrunn, we will have lunch in the city and a guided walk through the city center.

NETWORKING DINNER will give you the opportunity to broaden your network and talk to main actors of the international softwood markets.
The Networking Dinner is taking place on Thursday, October 12, 2023 at "Weitsicht am Cobenzl", from 19:00.
What to expect: an unforgettable experience high above the city’s rooftops, seated buffet style dinner and party afterwards.
